Carrot cake

Jem made carrot cake. He found the recipe page number, read the measurements with some help and did most of the rest on his own! He really enjoyed serving it up to the family. It was so good!

Quick look at Monday morning schooling (jan.9)

Visit to the Library on Christmas Eve

Daddy was sick and i had to get out of the house! So i braved the crazy and took all the kids out. This is their first time playing at the library so they really enjoy themselves and it was great to get out and about.

A Field Trip to Cabela's

Jem has been doing a lot of learning about animals of North America, especially with his unit studies (come sit by me). We did some extra research on moose, deer, bison, big horn sheep ect in preperation for our trip to Nanaimo. Jem was especially impressed with seeing how tall a moose is.

A early Christmas gift from our very dear Pastors wife. We are enjoying the December 'break' from homeschooling. But Jem is still doing a page or two of Math and Phonics nearly every day.
